Fort William Henry Project Update #5

The fort is painted and the door is done --- now all I have to do is the foam/MDF base with the wooden palisade around the outside wall of the fort ... the end is nigh for this part of the project.  I attached the doors with tiny earth magnets so I can open and close them.

Used the flash on this one - really pulls out the highlights and looks to light coloured ... but in person it isn't that bright - I swear :-)

British Grenadiers spill forth from the fort!

Core and Alive Munroe inspect the main bastion.

Rangers provide covering fire --- I actually did make sure that the height of the muskets when leveled would reach over the fort wall.

Rear view of the fort.

The door in the closed (and locked) position.

That's it for the moment.  Next up is shaping the foam when my new foam cutter arrives from Scenic Express.  I picked up a special foam cutter to shape the trench around the fort without having to cut all the way through the foam.  Check it out here: http://www.sceneryexpress.com/prodinfo.asp?number=PC4774.  That should do the trick.
