That part stays loose ... it moves to the back when the bridge is raised (there are stoppers on the rails ... it goes fully forward when the bridge is down, fully back when the bridge is raised). Note that you have to move it manually back ... the bridge getting raised will not move it properly for you.Jay Whitehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11526516499890662958noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8814648975525606956.post-994881693934607162014-07-06T06:03:45.736-07:002014-07-06T06:03:45.736-07:00Thanks for the reply Jay! I was trying to look closely at your photos to see if that room in front of the counter weight was glued down. That is another head scratching part for me - I don't have it glued, but it seems like it should be. Yes, the pre-paint here makes all the difference ... it was hard enough getting all the angles/cuts covered on this ... if I had to do the whole thing I'd be on the edge of sanity. But ... either kit you could paint/fix before assembling the various "chunks" ... that would have made it a lot easier ... although the complexity of both kits is high so it would increase the chance of making an irreversible mistake.Jay Whitehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11526516499890662958noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8814648975525606956.post-10068646580919320802014-07-05T23:45:07.847-07:002014-07-05T23:45:07.847-07:00Hello Ivor ... yes of course. I made two mistakes...Hello Ivor ... yes of course. I made two mistakes. The first was the section that sits between the two east bank irons (the room that sits in front of the counter-weight). I was dumb and started putting the bottom parts on the top (being used to starting on the top). By the time I realized my mistake it was too late. The second mistake was the counter-weight itself ... I inserted it the wrong way ... and because I use super glue ... again, by the time I realized my mistake it was too late ... I destroyed the section getting it out of the structure ... had to rebuild the entire upper part. Really two things I should know better about than by now considering how much 4Ground I've assembled ... but I just pulled a stupid.Jay Whitehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11526516499890662958noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8814648975525606956.post-55503643231272851042014-07-05T07:00:41.713-07:002014-07-05T07:00:41.713-07:00Exellent work Jay!!!!

But with this one I am a bit miffed I went with the Sarrissa version when Warlord released that. With all those small handrails and other parts that might be hard to reach from some angles, I would have preferred the 4Ground version.

Again, lovely work on your part here!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8814648975525606956.post-49217992450756389422014-07-04T19:08:33.386-07:002014-07-04T19:08:33.386-07:00Outstanding as always Jay! I put that top piece on backwards so the hole was somewhat covered by the crossbeams. Took a little bit of creative cutting to cover the hole!Ivor Evanshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11928387567891480797noreply@blogger.com
