While I have all the original tiles I went a different direction. I made my own tiles from hi resolution images of the original tiles but based on 2mm MDF. The tiles are all magnetized and have platforms that raise them off the table. A lip still exists around the oitside edge of the tiles to allow attaching the doors.
I painted up the core box heroes for the game. An Elf Ranger, Wizard, Barbarian, and Dwarf. Classic models.
Pictures below of my setup. Also pictures from the 4 sessions I hosted at tge convention. For the "bad guys" I used miniatures from my Warhammer Old World armies.
This is a really fun game and if you own it or have a chance to get it I highly recommend it. If you don't want to guy it you can make the game yourself - there are videos on YouTube that show you how.
Classic indeed though never grow tired seeing these minis lovingly painted up looks like had a cracking game love all the candles very atmospheric.
ReplyDeleteThanks! LED candle lights but with a "real wax" shell. Con guys came over thinking I was going to burn the place down 🤣
DeleteIt is always such a joy to see your posts. I love this one and it does bring back memories from years ago. I saw your ship post and those are lovely too, but this oldie but goodie dungeon crawl is sweet looking!

Thanks Kevin! Stratching that nostalgic itch. Low effort minuature games - easy setup and plays easy.
DeleteThat's a really nice setup and Iove seeing those minis painted up too. Never owned this one, but I did have it's predecessor, Advanced Heroquest which got a LOT of play during my early teens. How I wish I'd kept it!
ReplyDeleteVery nice setup cleverly done 👍
