Test of Honour: Ashigaru Scout

I've been striken by the bug to do Test of Honour, the Samurai skirmish game.  I saw and watched a couple of demo games of it this past weekend at DundraCon (convention post forthcoming).

I'll get four full warbands completed ... current target being for KublaCon in May.  The latest edition and figures are just great.  I wasn't enthusiastic when it initially released by Warlord Games.  They had been hocking those Wargames Factory Samurai for it ... and I very much dislike those figures.

My test figure is for my Ashigaru Scouts.  I just love the figures for this warband.  Hot off the painting table ...

I think I'm happy with the result so will continue on with the rest of them using this scheme.

  4. A new game in a new era too, I can't wait to see where this goes *rubs hands together in a scheming way 🤣*
This is one that I've had my eye on for quite some time but thankfully have been able to resist.
Really looking forward to seeing you work your hobby and GM magic onto this game 😀

    1. LOL!! I was resisting ... sooo good. Much like a buffet of tasty you have to sit in front of after already having eaten ... I started picking ...

Yeah, this game ran multiple times beside the table I was playing at ... squirrel! Big squirrel!

Fortunately, the warbands are only 15-20 dudes ... so very manageable. I highly recommend this particular gaming crack :-)

  5. I absolutely agree with assessment and so happy with 2nd edition and designer taking control. The old wargames factory figures that Warlord absorbed where not top tier for sure. Perry’s of course are great and lots of new sculpts coming out for game have made more people jump on bandwagon.

Like the color scheme you used as well,

    Cheers
