Below you'll find three regiments from the Irish brigade combined with the 20th Maine and 5th New York. I've also included pictures of one of the army commanders. The Iron Brigade is also complete and will be covered in a separate posting.
Next up will be Armistead's brigade for my Confederate army.

Very impresive Jay !!!
ReplyDeleteRealy like the look of your 30 miniature units
Thanks! Yup, seems to be just right for the massed and rough lines you see in all the paintings and such.
DeleteFantastic painting and basing...very nice indeed.
ReplyDeleteEchoing everyone above! The command bases look fantastic. Really like how you can push your bases together - seemless! And really like how the 3 artillery bases push together to make a nice vignette.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ivor ... I had a specific look and feel I was going for and I'm really happy with the result ... I was thinking of the blocks of infantry advancing at the end of the Gettysburg movie. I also have always wanted to have a bit of a vignette style for my artillery units (for Napoleonic's ... but I would have way too much work to do to go back and do that ... but it worked out for ACW).
DeleteVery nice, they look spot on especially the 5th New York even if they are blue bellys
ReplyDeleteLol, can guess which side you are on ;-)
Deletehi there can i ask where u got ur flag holds on the horse please for the brigade commands as im looking at doing the same set up cheers
ReplyDeleteHello Paul, all my flags are from GMB Designs. Or did you mean the flag holder? That is the standard bearer from the Perry Miniatures plastic cavalry set ... I use cut down 80mm wire pikes from Warlord Games for the actual poles as the stock Perry poles are not long enough.
