Dead Man's Hand Project - Update #8: Project Complete

Well ... there is always something more you can do, so complete so as far as my original objectives of having the town, accessories, and initial two gangs completed.  I will be painting up the remaining two gangs as a priority to round thing out nicely.

All the building basing completed today with the most excellent help of my friends Roy Scaife and John Lantz who put the majority of the base coat of paint down on the sand so that all I needed to do was dry-brush the highlight and tuff them (using Highland tuffs from Army Painter).

I've also finished painting a wagon for the town (from 4Ground).  Below you can see pictures of the completed table, with accessories, and the two gangs out for a bit of a shoot'em up.

Pictures below ... a bit washed out because of the flash, but it gives you the general idea of the overall table.

That's it for now ... onto finishing the guns for my M&T game.

    1. Thanks Michael. Indeed, I've been really impressed by 4Ground. Their stuff looks great out of the box, and even better if you spend a minute or two touching up some of the ends (like the notches that fit into the roof). I'll definitely needs to drum up some horses :-)

  4. Great looking table! Is that a 4x4 surface to game on?

    1. Hey styx! The whole table is a little over 3'x4' ... the actual playing surface (sanded area) is a couple inches under 3'x4' (which is plenty for DMH).

  5. I see some really nice signage on the buildings. How did you do that?

    1. Hi Kris. Great Escape Games has those building signs (and others) up on their website for download (http://www.greatescapegames.co.uk/dead-mans-hand/downloads). They are specifically designed to fit exactly in the 4Ground buildings.

  8. Jeez Jay, will you quit making lame-ass hobbyists like myself look bad with yet ANOTHER outstanding project?

Beautifully executed and I'm looking forward to gaming on it in T-minus 3 days and a wake up!
