Test of Honour: Ashigaru Scout Hero

Not much progress this week.  I did get the base coat and wash done on another 6 miniatures in this warband, which is a good start to the remaining models.  I had planned to paint it all as a group, however the hero just had to much on him so I ended up finishing him individually.

So here you go ... for better or worse, here he is ...
I must say I really like these models.  The detail is crisp and well defined.  Painting them is fun.  Also, when they arrive they are very clean, almost no flash and mosy have no assembly.  The few that require assembly go together easily.

More to come!

  2. Yellow is so hard to use. You've done so wonderfully. Vivid and shaded.

    1. Thanks! Using the Wargames Foundry yellow, which is a great paint set.

  3. Great painting. I really like the contrast of the light yellow clothing with the black armour nd the natural pose of the rider.

    1. Thanks! Happy with how the black came out. Yellow is always challenging to work with.
